New Options Assistance and Resource Fund was established with an estate gift from Quinneth Summers. The New Options Fund assists single parents and displaced homemakers who are residents of Manatee County in times of crisis. The fund is intended to be used to help a person get on course one time after a crisis and or facing unusual circumstances in any one year. 

Requests for help with basic needs such as shelter, utility bills, transportation, food, insurance medical expenses including optical, dental, prescriptions as well as other expenses (but not to included child care) deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors of the Manatee Community Foundation will be considered.

The New Options Fund will also provide scholarships covering only books/workbooks, equipment, supplies and/or uniforms.

Important – All applications to the New Options Fund must come through licensed social workers at counseling programs located at Manatee Technical Institute or the Anna Maria Island Community Center. Clients are not to contact Manatee Community Foundation directly.
